Whilst we endeavour to contact you within 24 hours, we cannot guarantee this. We would suggest if you feel it is an emergency, call 999. If you feel there is time and we have not contacted you within 3 hours, you should contact your own GP or call 111 out of hours. You may also wish to ask a friend or relative to stay with you for your safety. They could take you to the emergency department, if required.
You can visit us in person or contact us by phone, message or email.
If you would like to access any of GP2Health services you will need to register with our practice. This is done using the secure Electronic Health Record (EHR) named Semble. We will email you or help you to complete a registration form in person. In this registration form, we will collect some of your personal information including demographics, habits, medicines and comorbidities. Please see our policies and regulations section to understand how we use your data.
The main consulting room is based up 2 short flights of stairs. If you are unable to walk up stairs please let us know. We have a second consulting room on the ground floor. There are also numerous small steps on entering the building. We have an access ramp and staff support to assist with these elements.
GP2Health offer many options to collect your prescriptions.
1) GP2Health stores numerous common medications including emergency medication and antibiotics. We can dispense directly from our secure store with no wait. The price of these medications will be discussed with you after consult. There is no cost for emergency medication use.
For medication we do not store, we are teamed with Signature Pharmacy who handle your prescription data securely. Following a consultation and need for prescription, you will be sent an email from Signature Pharmacy asking for your preference of how you would like to collect your prescription. You simply follow the instructions in the email. The options will be:
2) Medications can be delivered to your address. This generally takes 24 - 48 hours depending upon the type of medicine. A weekend prescription using this method may take an additional day. There is a small £5 charge from the practice for this service. The pharmacy will set the price of the medication/s prescribed. This is variable between pharmacies.
3) You can choose to collect the medication from any pharmacy in England. You will be sent a unique code in your email. Take this to your desired pharmacy. Your pharmacy will log into the Signature Pharmacy website. You will provide your unique prescription code. The medication will then be dispensed. The prescriber can check whether this has been issued and from where. There is a small £5 charge from the practice for this service. The pharmacy will set the price of the medication/s prescribed. This is variable between pharmacies.
4) A handwritten private prescription can be given and you can take this to any pharmacy in the UK. There is a small £5 charge from this handwritten prescription. The pharmacy will set the price of the medication/s prescribed. This is variable between pharmacies.
5) Regular or repeat prescriptions can be prescribed as per the 4 methods above. We will aim to review your medications every 6 months to ensure you are benefitting maximally from these and that they are doing no harm.
6) Your own GP may agree to take up a regular or repeat prescription on the NHS if they deem it necessary.
Yes, very much so. Having access will greatly support us in consultation to make more informed decisions and plans. You can upload all this information to Semble when you register with the practice. Your GP records should be available online as practices are contractually obliged to provide you with this information.
Download the NHS App on Android or Apple store and follow the instructions. Alternatively, under GDPR rules, you can submit a Subject Access Request (SAR) for any records held by the GP, about you. We will aim to work collaboratively with your NHS GP.
Of course.
Please let us know what your issue is and how much time you want. We can provide timed suggestions based on experience. This is your choice to spend as much time as you like with a doctor.
There are Example issues and services provided, under each consultation time frame, to guide only. We recognise that there are many and varied combinations. We will support you prior to booking to get the best use of our service.
We can negotiate to whatever suits you best. There are multiple options we could use.
We are keen to improve access for vulnerable groups and those with sensory impairment.
Options include a traditional phone call. We are able to use internet software to connect direct to your phone for a video call. We could conduct a text-based consultation.
Ultimately however some information and intuition is lost in these types of consults and a practice visit or home visit is our preferred option.
We appreciate that not all consultations fit perfectly into a time slot of 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. We would rather you leave satisfied knowing you had the time to explore the issue/s. Upon your contact with us we will suggest what time is generally required to deal with similar issues to yours. If we run over by more than 15 minutes this will be an additional £45.
There will be reservation fee of £45 upon booking the consultation. The remaining balance will be taken at the end of the consultation. Please see our Booking, Rescheduling and Refunds Policy.
Yes. At GP2Helath we will aim to keep you in the best health possible. This involves screening, "fine tuning" and optimising any ongoing care you are receiving for long term illnesses like diabetes, COPD, hypertension, heart failure etc. You can request a summary of your care records to update us with all of your long term care. We would also recommend keeping your NHS GP as we work collaboratively with the NHS.
Currently only English. If you are unable to speak English we will seek the support of a telephone or in person interpreter. We would generally not recommend a family or relative provide the interpretation service due to concerns around accurate translation, privacy and confidentiality.
We work with The Big Word and Word360. We are also working with Heidi AI (Artificial Intelligence) which will allow us, in real time to interpret our conversation.
Heidi AI is fully GDPR compliant (https://www.heidihealth.com/uk/legal/ukgdpr-compliance-policy) Artificial Intelligence software which records the verbal content of the GP consultation and makes clinical notes. This allows GP2Health to be more efficient in and out of consultation, accurate and turn improve patient safety. All consultation recordings are deleted after 7 day. If you have any concerns about consultation please do let us know.
