Please reach out to us at contact@gp2health.co.uk if you cannot find the answer to your question.
This sometimes happens. Rest assured the labs we use will automatically inform GP2Health of the abnormal result urgently with a personal message. We then pass this result onto you immediately with advice on what to do next. There is no charge to you for emergency advice given.
You can visit us in person or contact us by phone, message or email.
If you would like to access any of GP2Health services you will need to register with our practice. This is done using the secure Electronic Health Record (EHR) named Semble. We will email you or help you to complete a registration form in person. In this registration form, we will collect some of your personal information including demographics, habits, medicines and comorbidities. Please see our policies and regulations section to understand how we use your data.
This is a good point. Any genetic testing should not be entered into without thought. You can discuss with your GP whether this is a good idea.
Our lab partners (Randox) also offer a free pre-blood test and post-result counselling service with a genetics specialist. More specific advice will be given regarding the results. Your GP can sit in on this consultation if you wish. This is charged at half the usual consulting rate.
Sadly not. If you are at increased risk of exposure to HIV or have possibly been exposed to HIV within the last 72 hours please visit a local sexual health clinic. Beyond this we will offer a full sexual health screen.
These results may be inaccurate if taken to soon after a sexual encounter. Generally, they are most accurate around 6-12 weeks after the sexual encounter but some tests may detect early infection. Repeat testing may be needed and depends upon the type of sexual encounter and the interval between sexual encounter and testing.
The number of tests and combinations are limitless and therefore prices have not been included. A bespoke or tailored price will be provided upon request or decided during consultation.
Yes.
However, if your child is under 12 it will be mandatory to have a consultation first to establish the reasoning for the request.
This depends upon which tests have been requested. Simple biochemical and haematological tests can come back the next day. The vast majority will come back within 5 days. However, some more specialised tests, for example autoimmune tests can take over 1 week. Genetic testing can take up to 6 weeks.
Not always.
You can simply request any blood test be taken. You will be provided with an electronic document which details all the test results and a generic interpretation.
If you are wanting advice on which tests to undertake or wanting a debrief after the blood tests, a 15 or 30 minute consultation works well for this.
No.
This is a selection of the common blood tests requested and used day to day. There are many other tests not listed. Please contact us if you are looking for something more specific. In consultation and after your permission, we may also use additional tests not listed.
Yes.
The combination of blood tests are grouped together to give you the best value for money in certain issues E.g. Long Covid or being tired all the time. The combinations are not all encompassing and in order to fully investigate, other tests may need to be added.
