Our Screening Options

We offer the Trucheck™ test, a non-invasive screening test designed for the early detection of circulating tumor cells (CTCs). This test is performed using a simple blood draw.

How it Works:

  • Trucheck™ examines a blood sample for the presence of circulating tumor cells (CTCs), which are shed by solid tumors into the bloodstream.
  • The presence of CTCs can indicate a high probability of a hidden tumor, while their absence suggests a low probability.
  • Results are intended for professional use only and must be interpreted by a qualified medical specialist.

Important Note: Trucheck™ is a screening test, not a diagnostic test. It is used to identify individuals who may need further diagnostic procedures. It does not replace standard cancer screenings (e.g., mammograms, colonoscopies).

Trucheck™ Test Limitations

While highly accurate, it's crucial to understand the test's limitations.

  • False-Negative Results: Approximately 12 out of 100 people with cancer may receive a negative result. A negative result does not guarantee the absence of cancer. You should continue to follow all standard screening guidelines.
  • False-Positive Results: Approximately 1 to 4 out of 100 people without cancer may receive a positive result. A positive result does not mean you have cancer. It means you should immediately schedule a follow-up consultation with one of our doctors for further investigation.
Who is Trucheck™ Recommended For?

The test is intended for individuals aged 40-70 who are currently asymptomatic and have never been diagnosed with cancer. It is also suitable for those with an increased risk of cancer or a family history of the disease.

We offer two types of Trucheck™ tests:

  • Before Testing: You'll have an initial consultation to discuss the test, answer any questions, and sign an informed consent form. We will then arrange for the blood sample to be taken.
  • Trucheck™ Intelli: Screens for over 70 types of cancer. All for £1,100
  • After Testing: The results will be sent to our clinic. You must schedule a follow-up consultation to have your results interpreted by a qualified professional who will provide you with the next steps.
